Old Pal, a cannabis brand based in Los Angeles, has been introduced onto the shelf of medical marijuana dispensaries across Pennsylvania. Old Pal brands itself as a "cosmic cognition brand" that provides cannabis products that are "accessible, affordable, and abundant."
Bringing Old Pal to Pennsylvania has been in the works for several months. TILT Holdings, the parent company of Standard Farms, announced in a press release in August 2021 that they had entered into an exclusive agreement to manufacture, package and distribute select products by Old Pal through its PA subsidiary. TILT's Massachusetts subsidiary began selling Old Pal products last year.
Standard Farms is producing Old Pal's 7-gram whole flower, which Old Pal brands as being "available in three simple varieties: Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid. The agreement also said to be introducing one-gram 510 distillate cartridges.
Old Pal's Co-Founder and CEO Rusty Wilenkin was quoted in the press release stating, “TILT’s dedication to delivering a high quality, consistent cannabis experience matches our own team’s; and for us, is a critical component to a successful partnership. TILT’s established manufacturing, packaging and distribution platforms will allow us to successfully and cost-effectively scale the Old Pal brand into Pennsylvania, spreading our message of cannabis for all.”
TILT Holdings is a global provider of cannabis business solutions that include inhalation technologies, cultivation, manufacturing, processing, brand development and retail. TILT Holdings initially entered the PA medical marijuana market through its acquisition of licensed grower/processor Standard Farms.
