Summary

This resolution urges the Medical Marijuana Advisory Board to encourage and facilitate qualifying State System of Higher Education Universities (SSHEU) to secure U.S. DEA registrations that would authorize the possession of cannabis and help licensed clinical registrants further conduct research on medical marijuana.

This would also address the ability for public higher educational institutions to offer cannabis-related courses of study to students and encourage Federal policy to eliminate restrictions that prohibit universities from receiving Federal funding or grants for these studies.

This resolution would be transmitted to the PA Medical Marijuana Advisory Board upon its adoption in the legislature.
