Provides Tenant Protections for Medical Marijuana Patients

Latest Action: Referred to House Committee on Housing and Community Development

Prohibits any landlord from evicting, threatening to evict, or discriminating against a residential tenant for the lawful use or possession of medical marijuana if the tenant is a patient. This would apply to tenants who reside in public housing or publicly subsidized housing and are patients. The bill also permits any tenant who alleges a violation of this provision to bring a civil action in court against the landlord within 180 days of the alleged violation.
