Provides for “farmer-grower” permits within the medical marijuana program

Summary

Farmer-growers would only be permitted to obtain seed and plant material from a grower/processor within the state to grow medical marijuana. The required grow area would be at one induvial site that does not exceed two acres of land. The tax imposed on medical marijuana would be at a rate of 1% of the gross receipts for medical marijuana purchased from a farmer-grower. 


A farmer-grower would only be permitted to provide medical marijuana to a licensed grower/processor in the state. They would be required to implement inventory tracking systems and subject to certain reporting requirements.


This bill would be effective 60 days after approval.
